I’ve always had an almost irrational passion for swimsuits. Even as a child, I was obsessed: the cuts, the fabrics, the colors... I could spend hours looking for the perfect model.
For me, a swimsuit is not just a piece of clothing: it's a feeling. That of freedom, confidence, letting go. But one day, I realized that this passion had slipped into overconsumption. I was buying too much, too quickly, too often. Pieces worn only once, then immediately forgotten. This realization changed everything.
From this desire to slow down and do better, Saumo was born: a more conscious, more demanding, more sincere brand. A brand that respects bodies as much as the planet.
All Saumo swimsuits are designed in the South of France, sketched in Paris, and manufactured in Portugal in human-sized workshops with precious expertise. The materials are recycled and high-end, notably ECONYL®, a regenerated yarn made from plastic waste recovered from the oceans. This Italian fabric is technical, soft, resistant, and hugs the body like a second skin, without deforming.
I chose high-waisted, high-cut styles, the brand's signature, because they enhance the legs, highlight the waist, and adapt to a wide variety of body types. The one-piece models, on the other hand, are designed with a shaping fabric that delicately sculpts the silhouette while offering excellent support, without ever compressing.
Yes, the prices reflect a premium product. Because they represent strong choices: ethical European production, high-performance fabrics, and deliberately limited quantities.
I prefer to create less, but create better. So that each piece has real value, a real lifespan.
With Saumo, I want to celebrate a free, sensual, timeless summer. A summer that doesn't seek to transform bodies, but to reveal them.
