This regenerated nylon is made from existing nylon waste, including fishing nets. These are collected and then transformed to create a new material, without relying exclusively on virgin resources.

What is nylon?
Nylon, also known as polyamide, is a synthetic fiber widely used in the textile industry. In swimwear, it is appreciated for its resistance, elasticity, and ability to retain its shape.
ECONYL® is regenerated nylon: it retains the technical properties of traditional nylon while being made from existing materials.
How is ECONYL® made?
ECONYL® is produced from various nylon-containing waste materials. Among them are recovered fishing nets.
These materials are collected, sorted, and processed to extract the nylon. This is then regenerated to become a raw material that can be used in the manufacture of new yarns.
The advantage of this process is to give new use to existing materials, rather than exclusively producing nylon from new resources.
Why is ECONYL® used in swimsuits?
A swimsuit is a garment that must withstand much more than a day at the beach: salt water, chlorine, sun, sunscreen, repeated movements…
